Get Moving Week 2026
Get Moving in partnership with Yakult at the Virtual Village Hall, 19-23 January 2026
Did you know that small increases in physical activity can benefit your health?* Even if you’re starting from little or no exercise. This January, we’ll be inspiring people to Get Moving at the Virtual Village Hall with Yakult — our long-term Royal Voluntary Service partner. During Get Moving Week (19-23 January), celebrity guests and exercise experts will share motivation tips and practical advice to get us moving more, building healthy habits and feeling great. There’s a wide range of fun, free exercise and dance activities to try, from short ‘exercise snacks’ to longer sessions.
With support from Yakult, there’s something for all abilities, from complete beginners wanting to start some gentle exercise to regular exercisers looking to mix up their moves. GP and TV doctor Dr Hussain Al-Zubaidi launches Get Moving Week with an introduction to ‘exercise snacking’. Professional dancer Flavia Cacace will be hosting a fun Paso Doble-inspired dance class, and dance fitness trainer Daniel Browne, AKA Mr Groove, will be sharing some funky moves to try at home.
So why not join the 84% of Virtual Villagers who said the Virtual Village Hall had a positive impact on their physical health in 2025.** Let’s get moving together!
