What is Exercise Snacking? Gentle Ways to Start Exercising

Expert: Dr. Hussain Al-Zubaidi, GP and TV doctor

GP and TV doctor, Dr. Hussain Al-Zubaidi, launches Get Moving Week 2026 at the Virtual Village Hall in partnership with Yakult with an introduction to ‘exercise snacking’. Exercise snacks are short bursts of movement throughout the day that can have a positive impact on our health and wellbeing. In this interactive session, Dr. Al-Zubaidi explains how to add exercise snacks to your day and demonstrates some simple, easy-to-follow movements to try at home.

If you’re feeling motivated to try some more exercise snacks, you’ll find a wide range of bite-sized exercise and dance sessions during Get Moving Week in partnership with Yakult in our Get Moving Week YouTube Playlist here.
