LGBT+ History Month 2026

LGBT+ History Month at the Virtual Village Hall, February 2026

Founded by education charity, Schools OUT, 20 years ago, UK LGBT+ History Month is a dedicated space to celebrate the rich diversity of LGBT+ history. This year’s theme is Science and Innovation, exploring the contributions of LGBT+ people, but also highlighting the harm experienced by LGBT+ people through the misapplication of science in the past.

On the 13th of February, during LGBT+ History Month at the Virtual Village Hall, we’ll be joining Josh Martin, a historian, writer and founder of Free Manchester Walking Tours, for a guided tour of Manchester, exploring the life and legacy of World War II Enigma codebreaker and LGBT+ hero, Alan Turing.
