Walk and Talk in the Lake District - Easy Ways to Get Moving
Host: Elaine Fisher, outdoor personal coach, The Lakes Coach (International Coaching Federation accredited)
Join Elaine and Jo to take a walk along the quiet shore of Lake Windermere to consider how getting moving outside or inside can be achievable and fun during Get Moving Week at the Virtual Village Hall in Partnership with Yakult.
This beautiful mindful walk will bring the outside in and include a conversation and a few short activities with Jo Andrews to explore the benefits of ‘getting moving’ and how it doesn’t require specialist equipment, clothing, gym membership or big blocks of time. We will explore how short bursts of energy, or exercise snacks, incorporated into enjoyable activities, add up over time to bring meaningful improvements in overall health and fitness.

What is Exercise Snacking?
Exercise snacks are short bursts of movement throughout the day that can have a positive impact on our health and wellbeing, using gentle, accessible movements you can easily fit into your day.
If you’re feeling motivated to try some exercise snacks, or longer dance sessions, you’ll find a wide range of bite-sized exercise and dance sessions during Get Moving Week in partnership with Yakult in our Get Moving Week YouTube Playlist here.
