Yule log

Preparation
Set out your ingredients and equipment.

- 4 eggs
- 65g caster sugar
- 65g soft brown sugar
- 60g melted butter
- 65g plain flour
- 40g cocoa (an extra 2 tbsp for dusting later)
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 250ml double cream
You will need 125g double cream, 125g chocolate and a little icing sugar (to decorate). You are welcome to add Christmas decoration toppers too!
- Swiss Roll Tray (this is a shallow tray around 10x15")
- Parchment paper (two sheets)
- Electric whisk
- A couple of mixing bowls
- Sieve
- Whisk
- Pastry brush (with a little margarine or oil)
- Large metal spoon (serving spoon will do!)
- Pan with heat proof bowl over the top for melting the ganache
