Let's Dance
Let’s Dance
We’ve been supporting Let’s Dance, the UK’s biggest ever dance event (#LetsDance), founded by Angela Rippon OBE. Following her success on Strictly and reaping the benefits of regular dance, Angela is on a mission to get the nation dancing!
Angela’s aim for Let’s Dance is:
• To raise awareness of the benefits of dancing regularly for physical and mental health
• To make it easier for everybody to access dance – whatever our age, fitness level or experience
• To bring people together to do something fun!
Dance organisations, charities, health professionals, community groups and celebrities are getting involved, with Let’s Dance events being planned all across the UK for Sunday 2nd March.
Let’s Jive with Luba
We joined in the fun here at the Virtual Village Hall with a fun, free, live Let’s Dance - Beginners’ Jive class with Strictly professional dancer, Luba Mushtuk. In this live, 45-minute class, Luba taught some basic Jive steps and put them together into a simple routine to music for everyone to have a go at.
No dance experience necessary!
Missed Luba’s live Jive class? Don’t worry – you can catch up whenever suits. Just clear a space, put on some comfortable clothes and shoes, grab a bottle of water and Let’s Dance! Find Luba’s Beginners’ Jive class here
If you can’t join us live, don’t miss out – just catch up later.
