Join champion bartender Cameron as he demonstrates how to make an English Garden, a delicious summer cocktail.

This English Garden cocktail recipe is super simple, easy to follow, and made with basic ingredients you might already have at home. Think cool cucumber, apple and elderflower. Light, crisp and perfect for sunny days, this refreshing summer drink is a firm favourite.

Cameron also shares a delicious non-alcoholic mocktail version, so everyone can enjoy the same summery sparkle.

  • 25ml fresh lemon juice
  • 25ml elderflower cordial
  • 75ml apple juice
  • 50ml soda water
  • 50ml gin (optional)  
  • Ice
  • Mint
  • Cucumber
  • Tall (highball) glass
  • Alcohol measure (or eggcup or measuring jug)
  • Stirrer or spoon
  1. Add 2 parts gin, 1 part lemon juice, 1 part elderflower cordial, and 2 parts apple juice to a glass.
  2. Stir gently to mix.
  3. Add ice and rolled cucumber ribbons.
  4. Top with soda water and stir again.
  5. Garnish with mint and extra cucumber.

For a non-alcoholic version, leave out the gin.
