Surface pattern design

Tutor: Rachel Moore, print artist

Dive into surface pattern design - a creative process of developing designs, usually repeated patterns, that are applied to surfaces like paper or fabric. We’ll start with simple motifs, carving them into lino blocks or polystyrene sheets, and then layer these elements to build multi-layered patterns.

In this session print artist, Rachel Moore, will demonstrate how different textures and colours interact, allowing you to create intricate, cohesive patterns suitable for decorating fabric and wrapping paper.
