Ingredients for the dough: 

  • 600g strong white flour 
  • 260ml milk 
  • 15g dried yeast (or 10g fresh yeast) 
  • 75g caster sugar 
  • 1 teaspoon mixed spice 
  • 90g butter 
  • 1 beaten egg

Ingredients for the filling and glaze: 

  • Jar of mincemeat 
  • 100g icing sugar 
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 microwaveable dish
  • 2 mixing bowls 
  • Measuring jug 
  • Rolling pin
