Introduction to relief, resist and monotype printmaking

Join print artist and workshop tutor Rachel as she demonstrates three printmaking techniques: relief printmaking with linocut and junk printing; resist printmaking with screen printmaking; and monotype printmaking with a gelli plate. Suitable for complete beginners.

- A piece of softcut lino or lino tile
- A black Sharpie pen
- Linocut tool set
- Printing ink & a roller
- A piece of perspex, acrylic or a flat tray
- Paper to print onto
- A clean roller
- A clean polystyrene takeaway box
- A sketch, image or design to trace and print
- Tracing/greaseproof paper
- HB pencil for tracing
- A black Sharpie pen
- A pair of small scissors
- Inkpad
- Paper to print onto
- A nylon printing screen/mesh with wooden frame
- A printing squeegee
- Newsprint or newspaper (don’t use cartridge paper)
- A craft knife or small scissors
