Get moving towards your goals

Tutor: Emma Hackett

A slightly different take on ‘Get Moving’ in this session with the focus on Creating Healthy Habits for 2023 & beyond 🏆

The start of the new year is often a time when we like to set resolutions, intentions or goals but the truth is that most resolutions have fallen by the wayside by the end of the month. Knowing what we want to work towards is one thing, but setting up the habits to ensure we regularly take the action to make it happen is quite another. It requires a bit of thought and making a plan, but it doesn’t have to be onerous!

In the Creating Healthy Habits workshop, we will:

  • Define your goal (or resolution) for 2023 a what achieving it will give you - this helps to weed out the goals you think you should do, but don’t really want to, those goals are doomed to fail!

  • Then we explore the most important step of creating a healthy habit - not what or how, but who. As you repeat your daily habits to reach your goal, who are you becoming?

  • While goals are great for setting a direction, habits are the systems and processes that, with regular repetition, achieve the goal. We explore what habits are and why making tiny differences add up to a big difference over time.

  • Explore the science of habits and how we can adjust the four steps of the habit loop to create healthy habits that last.
