Preparation
Prepare your materials and find a sturdy table or floor to work on.

- Chinese calligraphy brush set or a large watercolour paint brush
- Black drawing ink (Indian ink)
- Water pot to wash out your brushes
- A small shallow container for mixing ink
- Cleaning cloths or kitchen paper
- Traditionally rice paper is used but you can use any paper as long as it can support water based paint, like water colour paper.
