  • Chinese calligraphy brush set or a large watercolour paint brush
  • Black drawing ink (Indian ink) 
  • Water pot to wash out your brushes
  • A small shallow container for mixing ink
  • Cleaning cloths or kitchen paper
  • Traditionally rice paper is used but you can use any paper as long as it can support water based paint, like water colour paper.
