Materials
- Watercolour paper is preferable (good quality cartridge paper or card can be used as an alternative)
- Watercolour paints (Rachel suggests inexpensive ones or even children’s watercolour sets)
- x2 jars of water for washing out
- Kitchen roll or art rag
Equipment
- Watercolour paint brushes (Rachel advises round headed soft-bristled brushes, rather than hard. In a minimum of three sizes - x1 large, x1 medium and x1 thin, for example size 12, 8 or 6, and 2)
- Fine line pen if you want to add detail
