In this first session in the series, Gareth and Chris discuss Universal Credit, and specifically, the Standard Element of Universal Credit.

  1. General eligibility for Universal Credit.
  2. The rates of Universal Credit for different age groups.
  3. How much people can earn before Universal Credit is reduced or stopped.
  4. Entitlement to a work allowance.
  5. Where to get support with claims and benefit checks.

Gareth and Chris are experienced advisers with Citizens Advice Gateshead, giving information, advice and guidance on the Welfare Benefits System.
