Introducing the Terrence Higgins Memorial Quilt

Presenter: Mark Francis, TV presenter and Great British Sewing Bee 2020 finalist

In this live session, Great British Sewing Bee 2019 finalist, Mark Francis, shares his passion for sewing as a satisfying activity that soothes the mind. Mark started sewing at the age of 40, and has found it to be hugely beneficial for his mental health and wellbeing, which he discusses during the session. Mark is part of the #BoysSewToo community which encourages and inspires boys of all ages to sew, regardless of their skills or ability. His session includes an introduction to sewing so bring a needle and thread, and learn some useful, simple mending skills – how to sew on a button and how to take up a hem.
