Benefits of Exercise for Menopause

Tutor: Frances Rayner, fitness & wellbeing coach for midlife

Join fitness and wellbeing coach Frances Rayner as she shares the benefits of exercise and movement for menopause during World Menopause Awareness Month.

This year’s theme is Lifestyle Medicine, and Frances’ talk pairs perfectly with it, as movement and exercise are among the most important lifestyle choices we can make to live well through menopause and beyond.

Frances will explore:

  • The benefits of exercise for menopause, and how the right movement supports women’s health
  • What optimum movement looks like – not all movement is exercise!
  • How moving more can ease menopause symptoms such as hot flushes, fatigue and mood changes
  • Why inactivity can increase the risk of long-term health issues like dementia, heart disease, musculoskeletal problems and osteoporosis

This friendly and informative session is designed for all women, whatever your age or menopause transition point. The sooner we understand how movement supports our health, the sooner we can put it into practice and reap the benefits for years to come!

This session is part of World Menopause Awareness Month, explore more sessions our our World Menopause Awareness 2025 YouTube Playlist.
