Black History Month

October 2025

Black History Month is a time to honour and celebrate Black history, heritage, and culture. To mark Black History Month at the Virtual Village Hall this October, we’ll join Black History Walks, learn about the Black Cultural Archive, enjoy a Listening Books session with Kit de Waal, and take part in a poetry workshop with Black British poet Shirley May.

Black History Month October 2025. Friday October 3rd 12:30pm: Black Cultural Archives: Introducing Samuel Coleridge Taylor with Dr. Ayshaj Johnston. Thursday 16th October 11am: Poetry Workshop with Shorley May. Friday 24th October 11am: Listening Books Author Q&A with Kit De Waal.
