Who Was Beatrix Potter? A Walk and Talk in the Lake District

Host: Elaine Fisher, outdoor personal coach, The Lakes Coach (International Coaching Federation accredited)

The stunning landscape of the Lake District provides the perfect backdrop for a walk and talk in nature.

On this walk, we will be strolling into summer with Beatrix Potter, the writer and illustrator, natural scientist and conservationist, whose magical Peter Rabbit stories so many of us have enjoyed. Elaine reflects on how the seasons, wildlife and scenery created the timeless tales Beatrix Potter is famous for, and how her deep passion for the Lake District and her incredible conservation efforts shaped the landscape and ways of life we see today.

This mindful walk will bring the outside in and includes a conversation with VVH fitness instructor, Jo Andrews. As they walk, Elaine and Jo explore how the natural world can bring meaning to our own lives, and how walking and talking in the outdoors with others can boost wellbeing.
