Walking out of Winter in the Lake District
Host: Elaine Fisher, outdoor personal coach, The Lakes Coach (International Coaching Federation accredited)
It's winter in the Lake District with frost, storms, and even snow on the high fells. These colder months of the year require resilience, but there are small signs that spring is on its way and the landscape is waking up. The days are noticeably longer, the snowdrops are out, the birds are singing and there is a feeling of hope in the air. Outdoor personal coach, Elaine Fisher, hosts a mindful walk and talk in nature around the stunning Tarn Hows with its incredible scenery and woodland. Elaine is joined by VVH exercise instructor, Jo Andrews.
On their walk, Elaine and Jo explore how the change of season from winter to spring can relate to our own lives, focusing on making plans for the future. They also discuss the pleasures and benefits of walking and talking in nature for our wellbeing.
Elaine is an outdoor personal coach accredited by the International Coaching Federation. She is passionate about the outdoors and uses nature and landscape in her coaching, getting out to walk and talk as often as possible. Elaine has over 30 years senior leadership experience in the Environmental public sector and is a volunteer guided walk leader with the Lake District National Park.
