The Power of Reading: Reading Well for Dementia

The Reading Agency is a UK charity that inspires social and personal change through the proven power of reading.
In this session, Amy Niven and Hannah Pimble will talk about Reading Well, a national books on prescription programme, developed by The Reading Agency and delivered by public libraries, that helps people to understand and manage their health and wellbeing using helpful reading.
Viewers will learn more about Reading Well for dementia, including how it can support people living with dementia, their carers and family members, and how to access the recommended reading.

About Amy and Hannah
Amy Niven is Programme Manager in the Reading and Health team at The Reading Agency, which aims to address inequalities and deliver better health and wellbeing outcomes for all.
Amy manages the delivery of the reading and health work, including Reading Well Books on Prescription, Mood-boosting Books, and also works with Libraries Connected on the Universal Library Health and Wellbeing Offer.
Hannah supports with the delivery of The Reading Agency’s reading and health work.
