Neuro-Moves - Dance for Parkinson’s

Tutor: Helen Gould MBE, Dance Artist, LPM Dance

Join us for a warm, friendly and elevating dance class for people living with Parkinson’s, and their friends and family. The class incorporates a variety of dance styles and eclectic music. It can be done seated or standing and is suitable for all abilities.

The class starts with a seated warm-up, gradually leading to exercises that can take us to standing (optional).

Dance has been shown to support symptoms commonly associated with Parkinson’s. Research shows dance can help motor control, coordination, balance and fluidity of movement whilst also supporting general wellbeing.

This session is part of a World Parkinson’s Day collaboration with Parkinson’s UK, the national charity supporting the Parkinson’s community, and We Are Undefeatable.
