30 Minute Afrobeats Dance Workout for Beginners
Expert: Dr. Hussain Al-Zubaidi, GP and TV doctor
Join dance fitness instructor, Joachim Jojo Keke, for this gentle Afro-fusion movement session that’s designed to support wellbeing, mobility and joyful expression. It combines simple rhythmic steps, light stretching and guided movements inspired by Afro-contemporary dance. Join along from a seated or standing position - no previous dance experience needed.
The session focuses on easy-to-follow motions that encourage grounding, balance, coordination and body awareness. By the end of the session, viewers will have learned basic Afro-fusion movement patterns, improved their confidence in moving their bodies, and experienced the benefits of rhythm, breath, and creative expression. Expect to leave feeling energised, relaxed, and more connected to your body.
If you’re feeling motivated to try more exercise and dance sessions, you’ll find a wide range, including bite-sized sessions, during Get Moving Week in partnership with Yakult in our Get Moving Week YouTube Playlist here.
