Join print maker, Rachel, as she shows us how to screen print personalised gift bags. Rachel is a fan of upcycling and these giftbags are a great way to use up fabric remnants, old shirts or sheets.

Prepare your materials and find a sturdy table or floor to work on.

  • An embroidery hoop
  • Fine net curtain or similar fine fabric
  • Newspaper or plain newsprint (like the paper they wrap fish and chips in)
  • Old credit card
  • Craft knife or scissors
  • Fabric paint
  • Sewing machine and matching thread (if you don’t have a sewing machine, you can use a needle and thread
  • Cotton fabric approx 8” x 12” or 20cm x 30cm.
