Keen gardener, allotment owner, recycler and the Virtual Village Hall’s resident print artist, Rachel Moore, shows us how to get ahead for a glorious summer of colour and scent by sowing sweet peas in February, with the help of some of the unwanted items from your recycling bin.

- Pack of sweet pea seeds
- Peat-free multipurpose compost
- Cardboard toilet roll cores - enough for 2 x seeds per pot
- Clean plastic food containers – e.g. take away boxes, vegetable trays.
- Plastic milk bottle
- Ruler
- Sharp scissors
- Sharpie pen
