Clay Pinch Pots: Part 1

Tutor: Olivia Hardman, artist and ceramicist

In this two-part workshop, artist and ceramicist, Olivia, introduces air dry clay, taking us through the steps to making a pinch pot. After making the basic pot, Olivia shows how to attach decoration to the pot and get it ready for painting. In session two, it’s pot painting time!

Preparation

Find a clean worksurface that you can wipe clay off easily

• Air dry clay (Olivia recommends DAS air dry white (500g)
• A cup of water (any amount)
• A sponge
• A paintbrush or lollypop stick
