Magazine Cutout Charms - DIY Paper Jewellery

In this session, self-taught artist Rosie shows us how to make tiny hanging charms or DIY paper jewellery out of cutouts from old magazines.

Using everyday materials such as cardboard, glue and jump rings, you’ll learn how to shape and seal your designs before assembling them into finished pieces. These paper charms can be used as decorative hanging pieces or made into DIY paper earrings, making this an enjoyable upcycled craft to try at home.

Rosie is a self-taught sign writer, illustrator and artist who has tons of experience teaching people of all abilities the art of hand lettering, decorative arts and handmade items.

  • A small pair of pliers
  • A needle or something sharp that can make small holes
  • PVA glue
  • Scissors
  • Thin cardboard (e.g. pizza box)
  • Earring hooks (optional)
