Easy Hot Glue Gun Prints

Join Rachel for this fabric printmaking session where she will teach you how to use hot glue to make your own printing stamps and create bold, repeating patterns. You’ll learn to make simple glue gun stamps inspired by the classic blue-and-white designs of Delft tiles, and then print them onto fabric. This relaxed, beginner-friendly class is a fun way to try printmaking with affordable materials and lots of room for creativity.
Preparation
Prepare your materials and find a sturdy table or floor to work on.
Video time
30 minutes
- A simple design (keep it bold and not too fiddly)
- A flat sheet of clear or translucent plastic (acrylic, acetate, or even cut from a clean, dry plastic milk bottle)
- Permanent marker pen
- Glue gun and glue sticks
- Ink pad in your chosen colour
- Felt, a blanket, or a few layers of fabric (for your print base)
- Cotton fabric for printing onto
- Rubber roller or a rolling pin
The idea isn’t to buy lots of new equipment but to use what you have!
