Chair Yoga for Movement Disorders and Health Conditions

Join Yanar for a chair yoga specifically designed to support mobility, flexibility, and posture in a gentle and accessible way. We'll wrap up the session with simple breathwork and relaxation techniques for emotional well-being, nervous system regulation, and stress relief.
This gentle session is suitable for all ages and abilities, and is especially supportive for those living with a movement disorder or long-term health condition. It may be helpful for people with Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), recovering from a Stroke, Arthritis, Cerebral Palsy, Essential Tremor, Fibromyalgia, Long Covid, or ME/CFS (Myalgic Encephalomyelitis / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome).
We encourage you to take part in the session at your own pace and move in a way that feels right for your body.
Please be sure to listen to your body and only move within the limits of your range of motion for a safe and enjoyable experience. All you need is a sturdy, comfortable chair. Experience the benefits of mindful movement from the comfort of your chair!

About Yanar
Yanar is a Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council registered yoga therapist specialising in movement disorders and chronic health conditions.
After her mum’s Parkinson’s Disease diagnosis over 15 years ago, Yanar deepened her yoga experience and qualified to work with physical and mental health conditions. She now runs chair yoga sessions in partnership with Parkinson’s UK’s East London groups as well as online chair yoga classes.
Yanar is passionate about bringing mindful movement and relaxation practices to more people who need them.
