Sun Catchers

Tutor: Sarah Camplin, craft workshop tutor

Join craft tutor Sarah as she demonstrates how to make a decorative Suncatcher for your home, using a willow twig or piece of driftwood and glass or clear plastic beads. Hang in a window and watch the light.

Preparation: Gather your materials.

Video time: 45 minutes

 

Materials and equipment you'll need to take part:

  • 1 x willow twig OR a piece of driftwood @ 15cm in length (available online – Search: Willow twigs or Driftwood for crafts)
  • 1 x picture nail @ 1.5cm in length
  • 5 x eyelets
  • Claw hammer
  • Chopping board or hard surface for banging nails in
  • Twine or yarn for hanging
  • Beading wire (28 gauge – available online)
  • Glass or clear plastic beads for decoration/ embellishment (colour optional)
