Prep: turn oven on to 180 degrees centigrade, grease and line an 8” cake tin with greaseproof paper

Materials and equipment you'll need to take part:

For the crumble: 

  • 50g melted butter 
  • 100g demerara sugar 
  • 50g plain flour 
  • 1tsp cinnamon

For the cake: 

  • 175g caster sugar 
  • 4tbsp sunflower oil 
  • 1 large egg 
  • 120ml milk 
  • 225g plain flour 
  • 225g blackberries 
  • Mixing bowls 
  • Spatula 
  • Mixer
