Monogrammed napkin holders

Make your party guests feel extra special with these monogrammed napkin ring holders, made by our resident printing expert, Rachel Moore. Bring a potato!  

Preparation: prepare your materials and find a sturdy table or floor to work on

Video time: 18 minutes

 

Materials and equipment you'll need to take part:

    • A small / medium sized potato 
    • A Craft knife 
    • A knife cut the potato 
    • Cutting / chopping board 
    • Typography examples - these could be from magazines or printed from the internet 
    • Pencil 
    • Tracing paper 
    • Air dry clay 
    • Rolling pin 
    • String, ribbon or garden twine to match your napkins 

Optional:

  • Items to make imprints with i.e hessian, very small leaves and flowers 
  • White acrylic or gouache paint 
  • A paint brush
