Tutor: Tess, laughter yoga instructor
Watch again. Laughter is good for the soul, but what happens if we don’t have much to laugh about? Laughter yoga was developed 20 years ago by Indian medical doctor, Madan Kataria, who realised how much quicker his patients recovered when he involved laughter in their care. The practice is based on the belief that voluntary laughter provides similar physiological and psychological benefits as spontaneous laughter. Laughter yoga leader Tess joins us at the Virtual Village Hall where she hosts a 30 minute session to help us learn to laugh spontaneously in order to re-energise and relax. Take part standing or seated.
