Tutor: Emma Hackett
Join professional Coach, Positive Psychology practitioner, Mindfulness meditation teacher and Mental Health First Aider, Emma Hackett, as she invites us ‘get moving’ by focusing on setting goals and defining a direction for 2022.
Positive Psychology research shows that when we're optimistic and hopeful about the future, we're likely to be happier. Emma explores how to look to the year ahead to identify the goals we want to set, understand why they’re important and how they will fulfil our needs over the coming months. This helps us weed out the goals we tell ourselves we should do but don’t really want to do – those goals are often doomed to fail! The session includes an exercise to help define the ideal, then make a plan for how to achieve our goals and how to maintain momentum when things might get in the way.
To get the most from the session, Emma recommends that Virtual Villagers download and print the Wheel of Life coaching tool which will be used to identify goals to work on.
This session was broadcast as part of Get Moving Week at the Virtual Village Hall in January 2022. If you enjoyed this session, find more health & wellbeing classes at the Virtual Village Hall.
